Mission Statement

Over the past few years, the pandemic has impacted all of our lives and communities in radically different ways. Each of our experiences have been unique and through “Scene On The Street”, we want to document that.

When we look back on this time in history, we hope that no story is left out.

In the meantime, we aim to help and inspire others by sharing global realities of the pandemic with a worldly community- confined to our devices.

The Founder and President of “Scene On The Street” originally created this idea and website over four years ago in March of 2020 to show her 100-year-old great-grandfather what the world now looks like, all from the tablet in his Chicago senior home.

Her experiences forged in her a desire to view the world from perspectives that differ greatly from her own.

Beyond a strong passion for exploring the unknown and an avid drone and airplane pilot/enthusiast, she is a third-year student at Northwestern University exploring the human experience and specifically, what shapes our lives. She yearns to create a space for everyone to share the impact of the pandemic.

All of us at “Scene On The Street” hope that this website can also be used as a vehicle for change and provide a platform for global users to photograph the racial and economic disparities in the response to COVID-19. These stories are best captured and amplified by the voices in their respective communities, which “Scene On The Street” distinctively provides the platform for.

We invite you to join us and share with the world your view- whether that might be a photo of a now calm downtown, a view out your window or anything that might inspire others in their response to the pandemic. Join us in documenting history, we want each and every perspective to be captured.
